Address data capture is the process of capturing the postal and site addresses for all buildings, sites, and structures that require an identification number. Capturing this information is an essential step towards the creation of a reliable street and road network that supports safe and efficient commerce and service delivery.
The Address Data Management task lets you create a new site address feature by following the steps in the Add Site Addresses task. Site addresses are unique to the location or structure they serve within the parcel. A site address could be the entrance to a driveway that is used by one or more houses on the parcel. The site address may also be an address for a service delivery location like the fire station.
You can add one or more distinct postal addresses to a website address. Postal addresses are associated with a building or other structures and provide contact information for the owner or the its occupant. The type of feature for site addresses and classification schema is based on a status field, which allows local governments to categorize features into temporary, pending or current.
Assume you are a supervisor for an address authority, and your team is assigned to verify an inaccurate address report provided by an external stakeholder. Open the Address Field Inventory map in the ArcGIS Workforce App and search for the address. Select the address that is missing and then tap Edit. Enter the correct address details, including the street name and the city. Then, tap Submit (iOS) or the check mark (Android).
ArcGIS Pro Project
An ArcGIS Pro project provides a place for you to organize your work, save files, and use many tools and functionality. A project can be a combination of maps, scenes layouts, layers, and layers that display your data as you prefer to view it. It may also include connections to databases, folders and other resources to import or export data.
Each item in a Project is accompanied by metadata that describes it. The metadata of a project can assist you locate items, evaluate and decide which ones are suitable for your current project. The Project tab appears on the main page of ArcGIS Pro. You can choose to open a recently completed project or create a completely new project using templates. For instance, you can create a new project using the Map template which opens with a map view showing the topography of the basemap.
You can save your project either to an individual folder on your local computer, Jujojula or to the portal that is active. The default project location is C: Users username>
